We have gone red in our area of the world because of an upswing of COVID. There is no time like the present for showing our collective resilience. We got our numbers down before and we can do it again. I know I will be doing my part. How about you?
If you are struggling with this, who are you talking with? Who are you allowing into your mind space during this time? We really do not have control over how we feel or what is happening physically in our bodies, but we do have more control over our thoughts and what we do, especially over what we do.
I ask you what are you thinking? Is it healthy for you and those around you? What are you doing? Did you know that it takes way more energy to focus on the negative? That our negative thoughts wear us out?
You are not alone, I too hate being in this phase, but I also know I can control my behaviour and do my part by staying home as much as possible. Do I like not seeing my grandchildren who only live 20 minutes away? No! But I will do my part to try to shut down COVID and keep our community safe for them in the future.
Some of us are struggling more than others. Please find someone to talk with. We may not be able to see each other in person but we have phones, and virtual opportunities. Collectively we can do this! Let’s demonstrate our resilience and be safe and get this under control swiftly! Let’s kick “red” to the curb!
